About Douglas Norström

Douglas Norström is a Swedish/English Communications Advisor, Journalist, and Copywriter based in Sweden.

I've got 20 years of experience working with PR, investor relations, crisis management, and marketing for multinationals and startups; both listed and unlisted. I help them to communicate, engage and build relationships with stakeholders. Many of my clients are involved in finance, technology, publishing, and entertainment.

After two years as Head of Press & PR at SBAB Bank AB (publ), a state-owned bank and mortgage lender in Sweden, I moved on to SOS Alarm in August 2023. On behalf of the Swedish government SOS Alarm operates Sweden's emergency telephone number 112. This is a yearlong interim assignment as Head of Press and Public Affairs.

Along the way, I've also written for dozens of newspapers, played drums professionally, started a couple of tech magazines that caused a buzz, and worked at Scandinavia's largest TV network. I also continue to write about music, gadgets and tech in magazine's like Hifi & Musik.

Before setting up shop in 2014, I was the Global Head of Marketing & Communications at a listed gaming company, and before that the Head of Marketing, Press & Communications at IPM Informed Portfolio Management, an award-winning, multi-billion investment management firm. I joined IPM after several years at Sweden's largest online stock broker Avanza Bank.
